Completed fictional example: Review your automations and retire what you no longer need

All people, identifiers, outcomes, and evidence are fictional. This demonstrates a completed record, not a delivered client project or account trial.

Automation / ID / purpose / owner / latest execution

Old-summary / AUTO-014 / old weekly overview / Morgan / demo execution September 25

Triggers and inputs, including manual and API routes

Friday at 9 a.m.; check manual entry; no API route in the fictional design

Output and current consumer

Summary to Casey; Casey confirms the replacement report

Dependencies / running and waiting executions

No other consumers in the demo register; inspect the actual execution queue before stopping

Decision and reason

Prepare retirement; replacement covers the required information

Replacement and owner of new cases

New-summary; Morgan monitors and handles missing information manually

Stopping method / time / retained configuration

Illustrative stop October 9 after replacement confirmation; retain AUTO-014-v1 configuration

Observation period and problem signal

One weekly cycle; a missing required summary or incorrect data opens an issue

Recovery and reconciliation of events handled during the pause

Before restarting, reconcile source events with cases handled manually

Shared access and separate cost decision

Account shared with other scenarios; no automatic cancellation; Casey reviews fees separately

Review outcome and next review

All entries are a fictional plan; next review October 16

Completed fictional control plan

In this model AUTO-014 is a scheduled Make scenario only. Before the change Morgan records running 0, waiting 0, no webhook, and no API caller based on configuration and the caller register. An unknown route would stop the plan. After replacement confirmation on October 9, Morgan sets ON/OFF inactive, reloads the status and tells the team not to use Run once for the retired workflow. This is not a technical removal of execution permission.

October 16 check: the replacement must have the right recipient, complete period and agreed values; the old schedule must produce no new output. Actual evidence __; outcome __. This example has not performed these checks.

If the replacement fails, Morgan first reconciles source events. Fictional evt-021 and evt-022 were handled manually; exclude them from replay and retain their destination IDs. Keep uncertain history for manual review. Resume the required execution only after verifying remaining events and an owner decision. The shared paid account remains a separate open cost decision.
